The Evolving Nature of Oppression at the Church of Me

 

If liberation, salvation, enlightenment (whatever you want to call it is) is the diminishment and eventual abolition of defining constructs in reality — especially the delusion of the distinct self, then, is it possible the current obsession with articulating the I/me/ego appropriately (by layering and affixing contrived bogus labels upon already contrived bogus constructs such as gender, race and religion) is simply the newest approach for social engineering imprisonment via reductionism?

What if, where once the move to enlightened, awakened awareness was limited by preoccupation with assembling a self-construct from what we are told we should own, we are now increasingly limited by a preoccupation with assembling a self-construct from what we are told we should be called — or outraged by?
